Dale Peterson Mocked In Spot-On Spoof

Via HuffPost Comedy:

He's Dale Peterson. He'll name names, take no prisoners, and freak you the hell out with a ridiculous ad campaign for Alabama Agricultural Commissioner. He'll also set himself up for ridicule. No big deal - he's Dale Peterson and he's got a gun and a horse for no reason. He knows what a Republican looks like. And now, he'll know what a great parody looks like:

And the original, just in case you missed it:

SOUND THE TRUMPETS! LET THE FESTIVITIES COMMENCE!

Eight-term Indiana Representative Mark Souder tripped over his own family values today and adds his name to the exceedingly long list of Republican hypocrites who speak two different messages from each of their heads.

Admitting to illicit carnal knowledge of a female aide who worked in his district office, Souder officially announced his resignation from the House of Representatives and the withdrawal of his re-election bid effective Friday, May 23.

In a speech reminiscent of Jimmy Swaggart's (right down to the tears) Souder stated he "sinned against God, my wife and my family by having a mutual relationship with a part-time member of my staff." Those with strong stomachs can read the full text of Souder's statement here on (shudder) the FOX News website.

Heckuva Conspiracy Theory, "Brownie"

Michael Brown, whose expertise in Arabian horses qualified him to serve as FEMA director while New Orleans drowned, criticized President Obama today for "claiming that Obama waited for the spill to worsen in order to turn public opinion against offshore drilling":

Regarding Katrina, Brown stated that certainly things could have been handled differently, such as calling in the military. As one of the largest natural disasters to ever strike the US, he stated, "It was beyond the capacity of the state and local governments, and it was beyond the capacity of FEMA."

And it is well beyond the capacity of Michael Brown, an incompetent political appointee to a position for which he was grossly not qualified for, to pass judgement upon a president who actually reacted in a timely manner to a national emergency, unlike Brown or Bush.
